Amazon Prime Day is upon us. The annual day of deals usually takes place in July, but has been moved to October 13 and 14 this year due to the pandemic. It is a day of deals, like Black Friday, but only for Amazon Prime Members.

Here is everything you need to know to participate in Amazon Prime Day 2020.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2020?

Amazon Prime Day is taking place from October 13 & 14, 2020. If you want to get technical, it officially starts at midnight on October 13 and ends at 11:59 PM PST on October 14. This gives you 2 days to get your hands on all the best deals and sales.

While Prime Day hasn’t started just yet, there are some early deals available. Check out the list below to see what you can purchase right now.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is technically Prime Days because it is two whole days of deals on thousands of Amazon products - everything from home and garden items to electronics and books. This also includes Amazon specific products like the Amazon Echo, Fire TVs, and Kindles and e-books.

You’ll have to be quick though. Some items will be on sale for the entirety of the event, while others will be Lightning deals, products that go on sale for a limited time and then go away. Products can also sell out, so if you want something make sure you buy it right away.

How Do I Participate In Amazon Prime Day 2020?

First of all, to take part in Amazon Prime Day, you are going to need an Amazon Prime account. If you don’t have an Amazon Prime account, you can sign up for a free trial for the month and take full advantage of it. If you’ve already used your free account, you can sign up for a membership. A membership to Amazon Prime costs $12.99 a month or $119 for the year. It includes free shipping, Prime Video, where you can watch shows like The Boys, access to Amazon music, Twitch Prime, and more!

Are There Any Early Amazon Prime Day Deals?

If you can’t wait until October 13, there are already some deals that you can take advantage of starting right now. New deals are being added to the Amazon Prime Day page constantly so make sure to check back or follow our friends Jelly Deals on Twitter for all the latest and greatest deals. Here are some of our favorites that you can get your hands on right now!

Where Can I Find the Best Prime Day Deals?

To make the most of Prime Day, follow Jelly Deals on Twitter. They’ll be tweeting out the best and most up to date deals in real time, so you can get all the deals on the items you want to buy. Turn on alerts so you don’t miss a thing!

Amazon also releases some deals directly on the Amazon app. Download the app and track your favorite products, set up alerts, and check for those Lightning Deals. Lightning Deals come and go throughout Prime Day so keep an eye out - if you miss one it just might return.

Are there Other Deals You Can Find on Prime Day Not on Amazon?

Amazon isn’t the only retailer one offering customers sales this week. There are other retailers jumping on the Prime Day train this year. Here’s where to find other sales and deals not on Amazon.

Best Buy

Best Buy is joining in on the deals with their own event. They are kicking off their Black Friday deals in October, on the 13th and 14th, to provide early and safe shopping for customers. The biggest deal being advertised is a 70-inch Samsung 4K Smart TV for just $529.99. They are also offering a Black Friday guarentee: if the price on one of the deals goes lower before (actual) Black Friday, My Best Buy Customers will be automatically reimbursed the difference.

Target Deals Days is taking place on October 13-14 as well this year. They are advertising 100’s of online-only deals through their free program Target Circle. They have 20% off fall decor items perfect to make your home spooky for the season as well as 10% off laptops and home theater items. Expect more deals in the coming days.

Walmart’s Big Save Event is running from October 11-15. They have deals on everything from home to electronics and toys and video games. They have Apple Watch Series 3 GPS for $167.31, LEGO Classic Bricks Set for $39.97, Beats Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones for $199.95, and much more! The deals seem comparable to Amazon, so make sure to check both sites before making any purchases.
