Who is the organizer?

Metaverse is coming to your home screen October 8-11, 2020!

What kind of programming will be featured during Metaverse?

Metaverse is bringing you featured guests from your favorite fandoms to talk about their career experience and even answer your questions! Just like the programming at our shows, panels will span a variety of geeky interests – from entertainment and comics to anime, gaming and books. The best part? Panels streaming to our YouTube page will be available for FREE!

In addition to the free programming open to all, there will also be exclusive paid opportunities to get even more up close and personal (from behind a screen, of course!) with your favorite guests through paid digital meet and greets, live Q&As, personalized videos and personalized autographing.

How can I view the panels & other programming?

Starting on October 8, you can tune in at YouTube.com/NYCC. Each day, there will be a continuous stream of panels available to watch at no charge! Just tune in when the panel you want to see starts. If you’re unable to view the videos live, most panels will be available to watch after they’ve aired on that same YouTube page so be sure to subscribe!

Tickets for exclusive paid opportunities, such as digital meet and greets, live Q&As and personalized autographing can be purchased via our ticketing pages and once you purchase your ticket, you’ll be given instructions directly to your email about how to participate!

How do I connect with exhibitors I'd see on the Show Floor or creators I'd find in Artist Alley?

The Metaverse is bringing all of the things you love from our in-person events, including a wide array of exhibitors and creators. Head to the Show Floor page to see exhibitors attending Metaverse offering geeky and exclusive merch. Tap on Artist Alley to browse the virtual tables of creators from around the world, offering art, apparel, collectibles, and commissions. The best part? There's no cash required.

How do I connect with other fans during Metaverse?

An event brings people from all over to the same place, but the fans that attend (that's you!) are what make it an extraordinary experience. We're taking the same approach with Metaverse, and creating an online community in our Discord server. You can expect a multi-faceted experience you can share with other fans from around the world!

Will there be a Cosplay Competition?

Yes! The Cosplay Central Virtual Competition will showcase the craftmanship from cosplayers across the globe. Competitors will battle it out for prizes and bragging rights as Metaverse’s virtual cosplay champ! Stay tuned for a schedule and more details on programming.

How do I buy a badge?

Well, we will have a collector’s badge available in our merch store, but you won’t need a badge or a ticket for any of the free panels on YouTube or to shop our exhibitor and Artist Alley listings!

What’s your stance on harassment?

ReedPop has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for harassment of any kind. Our staff will be actively moderating live chats during panels, but if you notice any harassing comments before we do, please click the report button on those comments to alert our team and the social media platform that they should be reviewed for removal. Anyone caught harassing our panelists or other fans in the comment section on our pages will be banned and blocked from our channel. ReedPop’s mission is to create a fun, safe, welcoming, awesome event where fans of all kinds can come together and celebrate. We want you to not only have the most amazing weekend ever, but to experience it in an environment where you are safe and accepted.

Will the Metaverse’s programming be kid-friendly?

We make every effort to make panels appropriate for all ages to watch, but we recommend that children be accompanied by a parent or guardian while watching panels (just like you would at a show!).

If any panels contain content not appropriate for all ages, it will be clearly labeled or there will be a content warning given by the moderator or panelists at the start of the panel.

Paid Meet and Greets

What is a digital meet and greet?

Fans who purchase a digital meet and greet opportunity will be provided with a window of time to talk to a celebrity or creator exclusively via video chat. Depending on the event, there could be options for one-on-one digital meet and greets as well as digital meet and greets between you and multiple guests. A recording of your session will be available to view no more than 5 business days after the event.

How do I join a digital meet and greet?

To access the waiting room for the digital meet and greet, click on the “View Your Order Online” button in your confirmation email. You will be brought to a confirmation webpage. When you scroll down to the “Your Order” section, you will see a rectangle containing the meet and greet details. Click the button that says “Click Here to Access Session Lobby” to enter the waiting room.

All ticket times are listed in EST, BST, and PST, so if you live outside these time zones, please make sure you are aware of your time difference. You can find a time zone converter here.

Please note: Multiple fans have purchased digital meet and greets for the same day. This means that your meet and greet may not start at exactly the time on your ticket and you will wait in the lobby until your turn (Pro-tip: this is a great time to grab a snack or take a bathroom break!). Not to worry – we have allowed enough time within these sessions for you to get the full meet and greet experience and if you are not at your computer when we come to you, we will place you back in the waiting room.

What do I need to participate in a digital meet and greet?

  • Your confirmation email from your purchase of the digital meet and greet.
  • A reliable internet connection
  • A supported web browser - Chrome, Firefox (for Android or Linux), Safari 11 (iOS), Chrome Firefox or Safari 11 (macOS), Chrome, Firefox or Edge (Windows)
  • A working webcam connected to your device or camera on your phone or tablet
  • A working microphone connected to your device

Is there a limit to how many digital meet and greets are sold?

Yes, there are a limited amount available, so we recommend buying early before they sell out.

Can I have my family and/or friends join me in my digital meet and greet?

Others are certainly welcome if they are in the same physical location as you on the same device, but another person would not be able to “virtually” join the chat from a different location. They would have to buy a separate meet and greet. Please be mindful of current social distancing rules; we do not advise taking part in a meet and greet with someone outside of your household.

Can I buy more than one digital meet and greet experience?

Yes, we do allow purchases of multiple digital meet and greets.

What happens during the digital meet and greet?

When your digital meet and greet starts, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and chat with the celebrity or celebrities during your allotted time. To make the most of your time, here are some tips to help you prepare:

DO:

  • Pick a quiet location to avoid distractions
  • Think of questions you want to ask ahead of time and write them down. Try to ask questions that have short answers
  • Be patient – remember there are others in line and that you’ll have to wait your turn.

DON’T:

  • Express frustration with the process in the chat with the celebrity. They do their best to be accommodating of all fans.
  • Ask inappropriate questions or do anything makes the other party feel uncomfortable in any way.
  • Take pictures or recordings of the meet and greet. All celebrities feel differently about selfies and we ask that you respect their personal wishes. Specific allowances or restrictions will be specified on your ticket. If a celebrity allows selfies, ALWAYS ask before taking the photo.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO:

  • There will be a timer in the chat so you will know when your session time is coming to an end
  • Your session will be recorded and shared with you as a keepsake, but please let the admins know if you would prefer not to have the session recorded.
  • If persons under 18 are present during a live session, they must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
  • No profanity
  • No nudity


Can I take pictures or record the session?

Candid photos and recordings are not allowed. All celebrities feel differently about selfies and we ask that you respect their personal wishes. Specific allowances or restrictions will be specified on your ticket. If a celebrity allows selfies. ALWAYS ask before taking the photo.

I purchased an Ultimate Fan Package that included a book and other special items with purchase. How will I receive these items?

Your items will be shipped to the shipping address that you provided when purchasing.

I purchased admission to a digital meet and greet but didn’t receive an email confirmation for my purchase.

First, be sure to check your spam and junk folders to see if the confirmation email is there. If not, we will be happy to resend the confirmation to you - just email info@reedpop.com.

I had technical difficulties, or I lost my connection, or something came up and I had to leave. This resulted in my missing the scheduled digital meet and greet that I purchased a ticket for. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds if you miss an event for any reason, so please make sure you are prepared before the event begins.

I bought a ticket to a digital meet and greet, but the talent had to cancel. Will I be refunded?

Absolutely. In the unlikely event that something unforeseen happens and prevents the talent from participating in one of our ticketed events, we will automatically refund the full amount of your purchase to your original form of payment. No action is needed on your part. We will send out an email to inform you of the refund. Please allow 5 business days for it to show on your statement.

Are you able to provide technical assistance or advice during ticketed events?

If something goes wrong during a paid event, technical assistance will be provided. We unfortunately cannot offer any outside assistance and ask that those who purchase have or develop a working knowledge of the technology involved.

Separately Ticketed Events

What do I need to participate in Separately Ticketed Events?

  • Your order confirmation email for your purchase of the event

How does the Separately Ticketed Event work?

Admission gives you entry into an event to view at the time the event starts and thereafter on-demand viewership of the event for the duration it remains available.

Once you make your purchase, you will get an order confirmation email from Growtix. To access the event, click on the “View Your Order Online” button below. You will be brought to a confirmation webpage. When you scroll down to the “Your Order” section, you will see a rectangle containing the event details. 1 hour prior to the event start time, there will be an active link for you to click to gain access.

I purchased an admission to the Separately Ticketed Event but didn’t receive an email confirmation for my purchase.

First, be sure to check your spam and junk folders to see if the confirmation email is there from ReedPop Metaverse Growtix. If not, we will be happy to resend the confirmation to you. Just send us an email to info@reedpop.com.

Can I buy more than one admission to Separately Ticketed Events?

Yes, we do allow purchases of multiple admissions.

What time should I log in to the Separately Ticketed Event?

Please make sure you are ready to join the event at the designated time. The link will be live 1 hour prior to the event start time. All admission times are listed in EST, BST, and PST, so if you live outside of these time zones, please make sure you are aware of that time difference. You can find a time zone convertor here.

Can I have my family and/or friends join me during Separately Ticketed Events?

Others are certainly welcome if they are in the same physical location as you on the same device, but another person would not be able to “virtually” join the Separately Ticketed Event from a different location. They will need to purchase a separate ticket. Please be mindful of current social distancing rules; we do not advise taking part in a watch along with someone outside of your household.

Can I take pictures or record the session?

Photos or recording of Separately Ticketed Events are not allowed.

I purchased admission to a panel with an author that included a book with purchase. How will I receive my book?

Your book will be shipped to the shipping address that you provided when purchasing.

Personalized Video Recordings

What is a personalized video message?

Your favorite celebrity will record a personalized video message just for you or your loved ones based on the script/instructions you give us (250-character limit). You can request a video message for a personal connection, shout-out, proposal, surprise or for a holiday. A personalized video is a great gift for a birthday, wedding, congratulations and much more. You can watch, download, share, and keep your video forever. Make sure you tell us the following in your message instructions:

  • Your name and, if a gift, the name of the person it is for
  • Enter detail such as interests, hobbies, hometown, birthday, age etc. so that the celebrity can make the message as personalized as possible.

Video messages will be about 30 to 60 seconds in length.

I have ordered a personalized video message, what happens now?

The celebrities will record the messages the week after Metaverse and you will be emailed a link to download your video no later than November 6. Please note that celebrities have sole discretion to determine what is appropriate to say. Character voices cannot be guaranteed, and celebrities will not endorse any products/companies during the video.
